Get To Know Brooke Mosman, a 17 year old senior at Moscow High School. When she isn't being a 1st team all-league soccer player for the Bears she is mercilessly beating little kids at board games. While you might mistake her for a pig eating onions if you make her laugh too hard, you'll always remember getting to know Brooke Mosman.

Brooke Mosman - Moscow High School

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Well, obviously, my name is Brooke Mosman and I'm a Senior(!!!!) at Moscow High School. I enjoy Nutella toast, Thursday nights on NBC, and am severely frightened of birds. I love being outdoors(in a relatively bird-free area) and am always laughing, always.

What are your team's biggest strengths?
We are definitely a really positive, up-beat team. We have a lot of fun at practice, but know when to get serious, buckle down, and play ball.

What team are you most excited to compete against every year, and why?
Easy: Sandpoint. They bring so much energy to the field and always get us fired up. They are a quick, speedy team and we always tend to match it.

What is your favorite sport to watch? Participate in?
It's a toss up between the eating contests on ESPN and basketball--but I'm going to have to lean towards basketball. And my favorite sport to play is soccer!

Favorite high school memory, so far?
Anytime I'm with all my friends.

Who is your favorite teacher...and why?
My favorite teacher is Senora Linda Mullin. She's been my Spanish teacher for about 4 years now and always brings humor to the classroom.

What kind of car gets you around town?
I hate driving! So usually I am partial to my light blue cruiser bike. But if I MUST drive, a beat up Camry.

Favorite food?
I love vegetables, especially beets, and fish.

What is your most memorable moment in a game?
Districts my sophomore year! We went into triple overtime and ended up winning the game. It was so exciting.

What is your most embarrassing moment of all time?
Mistaking a policeman for my friend on the phone and calling him a "butthead."

It's the weekend. Sit at home or out on the town?
Out on the town with my friends!

What is something most people do not know about you?
I can't help snorting and crying when laughing hard, really.

What was the last song you listened to?
Heavy Soul by the Black Keys

Any thoughts on where you want to go to college?
I'm crossing my fingers to get into BYU!

When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?
I really just want to be Kelly Ripa in her entirety.

What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?
From my Uncle Matt: If people show you who they are through their actions, believe them the first time.

You participate in the Bear Buddy program. What exactly is that, what motivates you to do it, and what is your favorite aspect of the program?
Bear Buddy's is a program in which high school students are paired up with elementary students as mentors; you meet with them once a week and talk, play, etc. I was interested in getting involved because I remembered how much I looked up to the older kids when I was a young whippersnapper. I love the kid I'm paired with, she has so much spunk and is brilliantly witty, so my favorite aspect is just hanging out with her (and beating her continuously in Clue).

100 years from now, when your name is mentioned, how do you want to be remembered?
I hope that people will remember how much I genuinely loved life and all the people who are in it.

Now..to make sure you are paying attention...What is your favorite high school sports web site?
Idahosports.com of course!
