Get To Know Michelle Seitz, a senior at Nezperce High School. Michelle was recently selected to play in the 8th annual North vs South All Star Game at North Idaho College. She might be from a small school, but she is a big-time player (she nailed 5 treys in the first quarter in a game this season).

Michelle Seitz - Nezperce High School

Now..to make sure you are paying attention...What is your favorite high school sports web site?
Idahosports.com :)

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm a senior at Nezperce High School and I participate in many clubs and activities. I love to play sports, especially basketball, and hang out and have a good time with my family and friends.

What are your team's biggest strengths?
I would say our speed and ability to run the floor. We've also been playing together since we were little so we have really good team chemistry.

What team are you most excited to compete against every year, and why?
The last few years it was probably Prairie because the crowd gets into the game which makes it more exciting and intense. This year it was Troy because our coach's son is Troy's coach so there was a nice little father-son rivalry going on.

What is your favorite sport to watch? Participate in?
I love to watch college basketball. Basketball is my favorite sport to play with ping pong being a close second.

Favorite high school memory, so far?
Making it to state in volleyball for the first time in school history and placing 4th my sophomore year, and getting the opportunity to play sports with my sisters.

Who is your favorite teacher...and why?
One of my favorite teachers is my speech teacher Mrs. Cronce. I'm not a big fan of giving speeches but she knows how to make it fun and we always have a good time during speech class.

What kind of car gets you around town?
I don't have my own car so I cruise around in my parents' 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix.

What is your most memorable moment in a game?
Making 5 three-pointers in the first quarter of our game vs. Kamiah this year.

What is your most embarrassing moment of all time?
I was helping at a little kids' basketball camp this last summer and I was demonstrating the hesitation move and my feet got tangled and I totally biffed it in front of all the kids.

It's the weekend. Sit at home or out on the town?
Out on the town with my friends.

What is something most people do not know about you?
I can juggle.

What was the last song you listened to?
The Show Goes On by Lupe Fiasco

Any thoughts on where you want to go to college?
Somewhere kind of close to home where I can play basketball.

When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?
Being a physical therapist or an athletic trainer for a sports team.

What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?
My coach, Dave Snodgrass, always says in various ways that sometimes the person who doesn't believe in you most is you...so believe!

100 years from now, when your name is mentioned, how do you want to be
As a person who tried her best in everything she did and loved life and everything in it.
