Get To Know Josie Jordan, a 15 year old sophomore at Twin Falls high school. She has a 4.0 GPA and started playing varsity sports for the Bruins as a freshman in volleyball, and basketball.

This young 15 year old has the potential to be anything she wants to be, from a Big Game hunter to a hair-stylist. One thing though Josie - if you text enough that you list it as a hobby, maybe you need to put the cell phone down and take a step backwards...

Josie Jordan - Twin Falls High School

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I have a great family that supports me in whatever I do. My family consists of three brothers and one sister. I attend Twin Falls High School with my older brother Jared who is a senior. I moved to Twin Falls from Filer when I was going into the seventh grade. I have played basketball and volleyball since the fifth grade, I also ran track in seventh and eighth grade. This year I look forward to being a three-sport athlete. As a freshman I made varsity for volleyball and basketball. My step-mother has been in my life since I was five years old and has coached me off and on since the fifth grade. I used to hunt with my dad Michael Jordan until I discovered I liked being in the gym better. I look up to my mom and as a little kid I wanted to be just like her, which would have been a hair-stylist, until I started playing ball. My other hobbies include texting (which drives my parents nuts), going boating and hanging out with friends.

What are your volleyball team's biggest strengths?
Playing as a "team", and growing strong as friends.

What team are you most excited to compete against every year, and why?
We were a 5A school last year and this year dropped to a 4A with the other school opening so Jerome will be in our conference. They have always been competitive and they make it challenging!

What is your favorite sport to watch? Participate in?
Definitely basketball! I love to play all sports but depending on what season I'm in is when I really get into that sport.

Favorite high school memory, so far?
The bus rides to my athletic events have been the best! They are always fun and crazy because of the dance offs we have and other unexpected things we come up with to do.

What kind of car gets you around town?
My step-moms "sporty" van for now until I get my drivers license in November.

Favorite food?
Any food works for me when I'm hungry but I love Italian.

What is your most memorable moment in a game?
When a senior on my basketball team through up a 3-point shot with seconds left to beat Pocatello. It was actually between half court and the 3-point but it was awesome!

What is your most embarrassing moment of all time?
Last season during my team's basketball overnight retreat, the team decided to freeze my underwear because I was the only freshman on the team. Then they decided to give them to me the next morning to use as my breakfast plate.

It's the weekend. Sit at home or out on the town?
For sure hang with my friends.

What is something most people do not know about you?
That I used to totally be into hunting with my dad and family.

What was the last song you listened to?
Replay by Sean Kingston

Any thoughts on where you want to go to college?
Tennessee!

When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?
One that I will enjoy and that will support my family.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
"To look at the positive side of every negative!"

100 years from now, when your name is mentioned, how do you want to be remembered?
Being an athletic person that wanted to help everybody or anybody that I could.

Now..to make sure you are paying attention...What is your favorite high school sports web site?
Um... duh.. IdahoSports.com!
