Sienna Edmunson - New Plymouth HS

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m 17 and the youngest of 3. I have an older brother, Dane, and sister, Shianne. I’ve lived in New Plymouth my whole life. I’m outgoing and fun to be around. I love the outdoors but I also love the mall. My friends and family mean everything to me. Basketball is a big part of my life

What are your volleyball team's biggest strengths?
We all get along this year which is huge to have. We talk all the time and we encourage each other. Our hitting has also improved.

What team are you most excited to play every year, and why?
Parma, because they are good competition.

What is your favorite sport to watch? Participate in?
I’d have to say basketbal.

Favorite high school memory, so far?
I can’t just pick one favorite memory. Winning the district championship in basketball my freshman and sophomore year. Homecoming weeks and just hanging out with my friends and making a ton of crazy memories I’ll never forget.

When it is all over, what will you miss the most about high school?
Just all the memories that my friends and I have made.

Favorite teacher or coach?
Coach Denise Oliver. I think she is a really good coach. She works year round with us on basketball. And she wants what’s best for us and she’ll do whatever she has to do to help us achieve our goals.

What kind of car gets you around town?
A gray Ford Focus. I take my mom’s Mustang though whenever I can.

Favorite food?
Chinese food is bomb.

What is your most memorable moment in a game?
My sophomore year in the basketball district championship I made the last shot with 3 seconds left to win the game.

What is your most embarrassing moment of all time?
Oh shoot I’ve had a lot of embarrassing moments. I called 911 when I was three because my sister was being mean to me.

It's the weekend. Sit at home or out on the town?
I’ll be hanging out with my friends.

What is something most people do not know about you?
When I’m around people that I don’t know, I’m shy and I care what others think about me even though I play it off like it doesn’t bother me.

What was the last song you listened to?
Strange by Reba

Any thoughts on where you want to go to college?
I don’t really know where right now but I want to play college basketball somewhere.

When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?
A perfect job is something that you wake up everyday and want to go to work. So for me anything that involves sports would be perfect.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
Someone wise once told me that there are no regrets in life just lessons. There is no point in regretting things that you can’t change.

100 years from now, when your name is mentioned, how do you want to be remembered?
I want to be remembered as an athlete that never gave up on her dreams.

Now..to make sure you are paying attention...What is your favorite high school sports web site?
