Boys Basketball Media Poll

ORDER GAME PHOTOS

Poll Methodology
The State Boys Basketball Media Poll is determined by a simple points system based on how each voting media member ranks teams in each classification. A team receives five points for a first place vote, four points for a second place vote and so on down through the fifth place team, which receives one point. The rankings are set by listing the teams' point totals from highest to lowest.

Legend
W-L: Win-Loss Record
Pts: Number of points scored in poll

1AD1 and 2A
Come on media you can do better. In 1A Grace and Lapwai are the only two teams with 0 losses to 1A schools yet Grace is barely in the top 5. In 2A you do realize it's 2019 right? Bear Lake has no business being #2. They've lost to both NF and WS and Ririe would roll them. Quit voting on last year's performance.

1AD1
Lapwai and Valley know all too well the Twin powers from Greenleaf that played football for wilder last fall and nearly helped them win state. They carry this team on their backs and could play possibly start for any team in the valley regardless of classification on varsity. It's a long shot for the Grizzlies to make a title run as their team skill is limited skill players and inconsistent play at times but superior coaching and those boys could really mess up the 1AD1 state bracket if they make it past districts. Lapwai and grace and Wallace do look to be the teams to beat though. Prairie could upset wallace though in a 1 game playoff for them unfortuantely. That Grace Lapwai game in state last year at Vallivue was AMAZING! looking forward to a rematch. And yes... media votes for who they like locally even and not who is better and can actually make a run for state. Don't even research it at times. SMH peace
