Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
I believe that we shoot the ball well as a team so spacing, screening and making the extra pass will be key to our success offensively.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Borah players have really bought into a hard nosed style of defense and take a lot of pride in that. I believe that this team is no exception to that. We should be able to make it difficult to score, but the main issue is getting the rebounds afterward because we are a very small team this year. Fortunately, I do believe that we can play bigger than we are.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
We will be a fast paced, up tempo team which is always a fan favorite. I’m always excited for the season to start!!!

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
We have a great rivalry with Capital so certainly those two. Rocky Mt. games will be great as well.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Same as always, being the most confident and committed to what we are trying to do together as a team at the end of the season!!

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball?
It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was in high school. I love working with mostly different players year in and out, but the best by far is building the relationships with players that go on and on through the years.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
Probably like most coaches, I wouldn’t trade our players, parents or student body for any others!! Our players come into the program with a “What can I do for the team” attitude, our student body is supportive, and our parents are absolutely great! They entrust their kids with us and allow us to coach. I honestly am very privileged and grateful for the opportunity to coach here!!
