Returning Backfield, and three starters on the line. One returning wide receiver.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Be able to run the ball more consistently.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Playing the run.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Reduce the # of big plays, in particular the passing game.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Team First

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
This is 3rd year of a rebuilding campaign. We will have more depth, experience, and athleticism than we have had.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Lakeland. It is the league show down from the 2 teams that have the most returning players, and both played for the title last year. Lakeland won 24 -14.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
The ability to run the ball, and stopping the big play on defense. Eliminating turnovers.

If you could change one rule in high school football, what would it be?
Blocking below the waist for running backs.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school football?
To help boys become young men.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
This town loves good football, and has the best high school stadium in the country.
