Returning nine players, including All-Inland Empire League and All-North Idaho selection Joey Naccatatto, the Vikings will look to build off of last season. Playing in a tough Inland Empire League will be no easy task especially for first year coach Tony Hanna.

Coach Hanna will be focusing on making his team relentless, putting as much pressure on the other team as possible. Relentless to the point other teams, other players do not want to be on the court with them anymore.

He believes he has the players to make a run.

“We are stacked with athleticism and are getting buy-in from all players. We have tremendous leadership and quite a bit of experience,” comments Coach Hanna about his new, experienced squad.

Run deep into the year is important, but Coach Hanna believes his team has what it takes to run and push the tempo at both ends. The Vikings must and plan to take advantage of their speed. They are so fast that if one man tires, they have the depth and experienced needed to rotate fresh bodies. The depth will allow the team to be relentless and control the boards, while getting every player involved in the offense and utilizing everyone’s strength.

Within the Inland Empire League, Coach Hannah believes the team that is willing to give more when they feel there is nothing left will be the team coming out on top whether it is the ‘Fight for the Fish’ game against Lake City or the battle down south with Lewiston. Being relentless and deep could be what puts the Vikings over the top.
