David Amos (QB/LB) SR, Kenny Sheffler (TE/DE) SR, Rowdy Paul (RB/LB) SR, Aarohn Beyer (OL/DL SR, Triston Hites (RB/S) SR

Any Returning Players with Honors?
David Amos (2nd team all-league LB), Kenny Sheffler (HM all-league receiver/HM all-league DE), Rowdy Paul (2nd team all-league RB) SR, Aarohn Beyer (HM all-league DT)

Any “Key Players” that you lost from last year?
We only lose two seniors from last year’s team (Ronnie Miller RB and Casey Grant OL). So we return a great deal of experience.

As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
We are a running team. I think you will see that continue. We return our fullback (Rowdy Paul) and Triston Hites is a speedy RB.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Our O-line play will have to improve for us to be successful.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
We return most of our defense. I like our team speed.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We will play fundamentally sound defense.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Do not have one yet. That kind of evolves through fall ball as we set goals and see what we have. I know they want to get back to the play-offs (We have missed the last 2 years)

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
Team speed will be good this year. Our off-season is significantly better than last year and we return a lot of experience.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
There are a lot. We start with our nearby rival, Deary, for a non-league game, then we jump in to league play at home against always tough Troy. We have who I consider the number one ranked team in the state at this time at home (Prairie)- but as any coach will tell you - any Whitepine League team is dangerous. No easy games in our league.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Our off-season commitment, unity as a team and our physical playing style.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school football?
The kids. I love hanging with the kids. We have great kids here in Potlatch and I am blessed to be able to be part of their high school experience.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
Again - The kids. We have great kids here. I love the kids.
