As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
Our wide receivers are the most experienced group in our offense. Nathan Morton and Hunter Graefe were our receiving leaders from last season and have done a great job over the offseason to take their game to a new level.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
This season, we must be more consistent. We have the ability to move the ball very effectively and need to execute on a consistent basis.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Our secondary is the most experienced part of our defense. There are three returning starters to our secondary, Caleb Frost, Tyus Archuleta, and Trenton Hope.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Our defensive alignment and pursuit must get better this season. New Defensive Coordinator, Brandon Harris has done an outstanding job addressing these issues.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
All In!

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
I am excited to see the seniors leading this program to a much higher level. We have had great leadership from the senior class and their work ethic and attitude have been contagious. It is great to see this sense of pride permeate throughout the program.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
We feel that each game is a must-see game due to the competitive nature of the SIC.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
The offensive and defensive line must learn quickly. We are young upfront and need to develop quickly.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school football?
To help young men become part of something bigger than themselves. We promote family over self and there is nothing more rewarding as a coach to see a player become a servant for their family.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
Our school has a rich history and a blue collar mentality. Our students and staff are extremely down to earth. I feel that kids are very excepting and there is a true sense of community on the MHS campus.
