Team Preview

The Jerome Lady Tigers welcome first year head coach, Jeremy Munroe, to the helm as he hopes to keep the tradition of competitive basketball alive in J-Town.
Coach Munroe will have 2nd Team All-Conference player, Kaela McClure, to help anchor the Tigers and provide some crucial scoring that might otherwise be tough to come by this year for Jerome.

The Lady Tigers lost Stormi Reynolds and Emi ReCecconi to graduation and with them they took a significant part of the Tiger offense. McClure and senior Courtney Argyle will have to be the 1-2 punch if Jerome wants to vie for a conference title this season.
McClure and Argyle will certainly need some help in the form of post scoring, as the Tigers do not return any post threats.

Coach Munroe is hoping that Steph Kinsey and Charmane Davis can contribute some much needed paint points or the Tigers might live and die from the perimeter. The Craig twins, Abby and Kathryn, as well as sophomore Nicole Cook will be asked to quickly take on expanded rolls in the Tiger offense this year.

Defensively, the Tigers possess some quickness and if they can take care of the basketball, a concern of Coach Munroe’s, they should be able to get up and down the floor in transition.

Jerome will most certainly have to find and identity this year on both sides of the ball as Coach Munroe plans to change things up on both ends.

However, this is a new regime, and there is going to be some adaptation time for the Tigers who aren’t particularly deep to begin with. Jerome has always been a program who has done the most with a little and this season will be a challenge. Powerhouse programs like Twin Falls, Minico, and Burley will certainly test Lady Tigers, but Jerome has always been competitive in conference so look for some exciting conference games this season in the Great Basin.
