Some programs have the ability to consistently reload to stay relevant in the title picture every year. While last year's hiatus from the 4A state tournament was disappointing for Twin Falls, the Bruins have an outstanding junior class returning ready to get the team back in the title talks.

Team leader Brooke Swafford has graduated, however six key juniors and senior Maddie Aardema give tenth year Head Coach Nancy Jones more than enough talent at her disposal.

The best part for Jones? She has a group that loves to learn.

"I'm most excited about this being a unified and focused group," she said. "Excited to learn. Endless possibilities in potential to be great."

High praise from a coach who has seen plenty of good players come through the program over the years.

Morgan Harr will be the floor leader and is an efficient scorer. Kennedi Evans brings an inside presence with a knack to score, while Aardema and Whitney Solosabal bring scoring and rebounding talents respectively.

Jones hopes to see improvement in consistency offensively, with a focus on increasing speed up and down the floor.

Defensively Evans is the shot blocker and the Bruins should be expected to be one of the strongest lockdown groups in the 4A classification. It is something Twin Falls has always took pride in and this group looks to be no exception.

For the Bruins it is back to a familiar position in the conference, as it is expected for this more experienced group to compete for the title in the Great Basin West.

In order to accomplish that goal there is a big x-factor though.

"Winning the games we should and having confidence and a little luck to pick up a game or two we aren’t picked to win," said Jones.

Twin Falls, Minico and Burley should once again be battling for the top of the conference, with plenty of competition from the rest of the teams as well.
