Every All-SIC performer that resided on the Centennial roster from a year ago has departed to graduation, leaving a completely new looking team in place for sixth year head coach David Koch.

The losses that could prove the most difficult to replace come on the offensive side of the ball, where quarterback Dayne Koch and go-to receivers Caden Clark, Charlie Faraimo and Brian Birrell have all exited.

Lukas Broadsword handled the quarterback duties for the JV at Centennial last year and is an option to take over for Koch this season. Wide receiver Luke Schabot is a returner who Broadsword can look to as an option in the receiving core.

Mason Denton is another hard to replace talent for the Patriots, as the guard and linebacker provided a physical presence on both sides of the ball who could lead the way for those around him.

Centennial had success moving the ball down the field in 2018, however the defense did not hold any opponents below 30 points after a 36-9 defeat of Boise in week one.

The Patriots have won four state titles in school history, with the most recent coming back in 2003. The program wants to get back to that level of success, with the last winning season coming in 2010 when the squad went 9-3 and made a long run in the state playoffs.

Game one for 2019 comes on August 30 against Eagle and new head coach John Hartz.
