One of the older stadiums in the state could be getting a makeover.

Ravsten Stadium, which hosts games played by both Idaho Falls and Skyline High Schools, could be looking like a newer facility in the near future should a group of student accomplish their goal.

Students from both schools have organized an effort called 'Repaint Ravsten' to give Ravsten Stadium a new look. Each set of bleachers would be custom painted for each schools' logo and colors.

While this is a worthy project, it doesn't come cheap. According to Local News 8 in Eastern Idaho, the painting would done professionally and at a cost of $60,000.

But despite the cost, Idaho Falls student body president Parker Gardner says that it's worth it.

"I think it's a good idea because it will bring back school spirit to both schools, because the Emotion Bowl is a huge part of the town and both schools," Gardner said to Local News 8. "To have the stadium festive would really help."

The District 91 School Board has not approved the project yet, however, if the students can get $30,000 in pledges by Friday, District 91 Superintendent George Boland promised to put it on the school board agenda for next week.

Even though the students cannot accept money at this time, if you would like to make a pledge, you can email paintravsten@gmail.com.

Speaking of the Emotion Bowl, the 50th edition of the game this season is returning to it's old timeslot on the schedule: the last regular season game. Emotion Bowl 50 will kickoff Saturday, October 25th, at 2:00 p.m. from Ravsten Stadium. We hope you can be there! If not, the game will be broadcast LIVE on IdahoSports.com.
