This year's viewership numbers represented a 45 percent increase over the 2016 state baseball tournaments.

State Baseball surpasses 130,000 live viewers
Every game from every classification broadcast live and free

KUNA, ID (5/22/2017)– Live and free webcasts produced by IdahoSports.com generated 132,420 live viewers of the 2017 Idaho State Baseball Championships, IdahoSports.com announced on Monday.

Each game from all five classifications, 5A through 1A, were webcast live and free to viewers. Those broadcasts originated from tournament sites in Idaho Falls, Boise, Orofino and Ontario (Ore.). The viewership numbers represented a 45 percent increase over the 2016 state baseball tournaments.

“We’re very grateful to our viewers and sponsors for their continued support,” IdahoSports.com CEO/Owner Paul Kingsbury said. “The overwhelming feedback we received again this year was that people love our product and they love the ability to watch the games free of charge, so we’ll keep doing it.”

The most-watched webcast from the baseball tournaments came in the 3A bracket, where the championship game between Bonners Ferry (District I) and Fruitland (District III) generated over 10,000 live viewers. A 5A matchup between Lewiston (District II) and Capital (District III) had nearly 6,500 live viewers and the 5A championship game between District III rivals Timberline and Rocky Mountain brought in over 5,700 live viewers. On average, the webcasts produced 2,597 live viewers per game.
