Team Preview

Written by: Ty Hawkins

There’s a new energy and dynamic that seems to be in the air with the Tri-Valley girls’ basketball team. Roshel Nixon is in her first year as head coach but already she feels the spirit the team brings.

Particularly she likes the positive vibes and backing the team has from everyone in the area. “

The fans and our community support all youth sports, both boys and girls,” Nixon said. “There is always a great crowd to cheer them on.”

Experience at the varsity level is always welcome by a first-year head coach, and Nixon and the Titans have that. Kristin Volle and Charity Ader will provide senior leadership, while a trio of juniors, Morgan Piper, Samantha Gibbons, and MacKenzee Haubrich round out an unit that have seen extensive playing time at the varsity level.
