For Victory Charter to improve on its six-win season last campaign, it will have to improve on rebounding at both ends of the floor – something veteran coach Robert Shepherd said is the key area of emphasis in 2015-16.

The team has two good returning players in point guard Jared Franklin and forward Mason Hartpence, while sophomore guard Heston Dillon could come in and be a difference-maker as well.

General quickness is an asset for the team, as is on-ball defense. But Shepherd singled out defensed rebounding as the key to competing in a balanced Western Idaho Conference.
