Team Preview:

Written by: Brandon McIntosh

The Lewiston Bengals and third year coach Jayson Ulrich will be looking to repeat as the 5A Inland Empire League. For coach Ulrich, he will be making a run at the repeat with eight returners, with the majority being seniors.

Lewiston seems to have it all. The experience. The size. The athleticism. The Bengals seem to have it, but will need to be prepared in a tough 5A conference. The Bengals will be led by senior guard Riley Way and 6’8” post Trystan Bradley, who will be playing collegiately at Lewis-Clark State College next season. Bradley will be a load to stop inside.

The Ulrich-lead Bengals need to stay focused with their fast-paced offense and high scoring capabilities to do the smaller things like hitting the offensive boards and to not relax on the defensive end and allow opponents to get inside.

This looks like it will be a nice, positive year for the Bengals. They seem to have it all, including good coaching to make a run at a State title.
