Head Coach: Pete Prigge

Team Preview

Written by: Brandon McIntosh

Fans should surround Summit Academy with great intrigue this season. Why? Summit has been unable to field a girls basketball team for the past two years due to lack of numbers. This year, Coach Pete Prigge will have his hands full as none of his players have any high school varsity experience.

Coach Prigee will be led by senior posts Ally Sonnen and Bridget Beckman, junior forward Lauren Stubbers, and freshman guard Alexi Currier. There will be plenty of growing pains that will need to be overcame throughout the season. The positive is that the season is long.

The roster consists of only seven players, but all seven are grateful for this opportunity to be back on the court. Prigge and his crew are ready to tackle all of the challenges and the Whitepine League.

Time will tell how much growth Summit Academy goes through and where they will end up.
