Two great shooters in Cache and Trevor, three great posts in Caston, Jay, and Karson.

Ball movement, floor spacing, ball control

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Caston is a phenomenal defender, can defend any position. Tucker, Cache, and Colby all can provide perimeter pressure. Rebounding is the biggest strength this year.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Staying out of foul trouble

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
The depth of the team, and the growth and development of the players since last season. They worked extremely hard and it will pay off for them this year.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
The games against Rockland will be the games to see. They have one of the best players in the state in Rex Permann, and they surround him very well with quality role players and team chemistry. This should be a good matchup with the personnel of both teams.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
The x – factor will be if the players can play for each other in a selfless manner. The emergence of bigs Jay and Karson and the return of Trevor will be a transition from last year. The key contributors from last years team will have other quality threats, can they compliment each other or will they compete for touches?

If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be?
I have no problem with the current rules and regulations in high school basketball.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball?
It’s a sickness, once you catch it, it gets in your blood and it’s a hard thing to shake. You realize that there are very few things in life that can fulfill you like coaching can.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
The superintendent and Athletic Director are supportive, helpful, and classy. The student athletes are dedicated and are such good kids.
