As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
Brooke and Saige from the outside, Paityn and Natalie Andersen will work inside for us, With other younger players to hopefully push the tempo.
Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Consistency, trying to find ways to score under pressure and in transition.
As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
We are basically a team oriented defense.
Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Better rotation and more pressure on the shooters.
What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
Coming together to see who we are after a very disappointing finish last year. We will have a new look and attitude I hope.
For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Soda games are always so important because in the past the district championship always goes through them in some way.
What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Team chemistry and avoiding outside garbage that messes with that. Making the game fun again.
If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be?
Soda can’t go to state - Haha
Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball?
I enjoy the youth. They are full of life and helping them reach goals that they set just doesn’t have a price tag. These girls in Malad are amazing!
What makes your school the best place to coach for?
Just to continue, I am so proud of how these girls work and carry themselves. Can’t remember ever being embarrassed by their actions. They work hard without complaining and really have given me memories that I will hold dear forever.
