Team Preview

Written by: David Bashore

Payette had a rough season in 2014-15, winning just one game. The players hope they will be better for that experience this time out.

The Pirates return six players with experience: senior guard Kamille Manzo and forwards Annalise Bradshaw, Rosa Ceballos and Sophie McGrath, and junior guards Kadee Winn and Krystal Benitez.

Offensively Payette is hoping to get better at handling on-ball pressure, and on both ends of the floor first-year coach Tory Bratcher says the team is just aiming to “be better than yesterday.”

A consistent four-quarters of intense, disciplined basketball will be the key for Payette, according to Bratcher.
