You gotta love state tournament time.
I know I certainly do. It's one of our favorite times of the year here at IdahoSports.com. 66 games over the course of three days to determine who takes home the hardware for the trophy case.
I'll be stationed at the 5A tournament this year (a tournament which I've never covered before) and I am very much looking forward to all of the action while keeping an eye on the other five classifications as well.
Each year, the trio of Paul Kingsbury, Sven Alskog and I make our picks for each round of the tournament for who we think is going to move on. It's a fun thing for us to do with some friendly ribbing as we battle for bragging rights. Every year, my good friend Sven always talks a little trash to me as we do this (as you can read here) and I'm okay with it. He has to have something to motivate him since he's only beaten me once since he joined the crew at IdahoSports.com in 2013.
