Bishop Kelly edges Skyline for state hockey title
After giving up a late, game-tying goal in regulation, the Bishop Kelly Knights defeated the Skyline Grizzlies, 5-4, in a shootout to win the 2013 Idaho Amateur Hockey Association High School Hockey state championship.

The 12-team state tournament was played over Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Idaho Ice World in Boise.  The championship game was played on Sunday afternoon.

 

There was an All-State team awarded at the tournament:

 

Forwards - Bailey Conger (Bishop Kelly); Garrett Wheeler (Skyline); Zach Biebuyck (Mountain View/Centennial)

Defense - Henry Liao (Bishop Kelly); Derek Camenga (Mountain View/Centennial)

Goaltender - Wyatt Caviness (Mountain View/Centennial)

 

Hockey is played at the club level in Idaho, governed by the IAHA.
