Welcome to "Primetime Pitchers", where each week, we'll highlight the top pitching performances across baseball and softball diamonds around the state of Idaho.
We will select one pitching performance for each day of the week. Think of it as the best pitching line for that particular day.

BASEBALL
Evan Mendoza, 10, Gooding (Monday, March 30)
In an abbreviated start due to the run-rule, Mendoza tossed a perfect game in Gooding's 15-0 win over Glenns Ferry. It was 12 batters up, 12 batters down for Mendoza in the four inning perfecto. Mendoza recorded nine of the 12 outs via strikeout.
Kam Rutschke, 10, Minico (Tuesday, March 31)
Rutschke delivered six innings of two-hit ball in Minico's 4-1 win over Wood River. The sophomore yielded one unearned run while striking out nine and walking one.
Kai Jones, 11, Highland (Wednesday, April 1)
Jones threw a complete game victory in Highland's 9-2 win over Madison, and allowed two runs on eight scattered hits across seven innings of work. He struck out ten and walked none.
Christian Zannitto, 11, Owyhee (Thursday, April 2)
Zannitto delivered six innings of shutout ball in Owyhee's 2-0 win over Rocky Mountain. He scattered five hits with 11 strikeouts and only three walks.
Elijah Strong, 10, Skyview (Friday, April 3)
Strong earned the win during Skyview's 9--0 shutout of Nampa. Across five innings of work, Strong allowed a lone hit with three strikeouts and no walks.
Isaac Farrel, 11, Vallivue (Saturday, April 4)
Farrel threw a complete game shutout in a 5-0 win over Rocky Mountain. Across seven innings, the junior allowed just four hits with four strikeouts.
SOFTBALL
Mikayela Lopez, 12, Skyline (Monday, March 30)
Lopez went the distance in an 11-2 win over Wood River. The senior yielded two runs (one earned) on five hits across seven innings of work. She struck out 13 and walked none.
Megan McCormick, 10, Rocky Mountain (Tuesday, March 31)
One walk and two hit batters were the only difference between a no-hitter and a perfect game, as the Grizzlies shut out Kuna 15-0. In five innings of work, McCormick allowed no hits with two strikeouts.
Charlee Stewart, 9, Glenns Ferry and Peyton Stewart, 11, Glenns Ferry (Wednesday, April 1)
The Stewart girls combined for a four-inning no-hitter in the Pilots' 13-1 win over Garden Valley. Charlee tossed three innings, and yielded an unearned run on three walks and six strikeouts. Peyton pitched the final inning and allowed one walk with two strikeouts.
Libby Garcia, 10, Middleton (Thursday, April 2)
Garcia earned the win for Middleton in a 12-1 triumph over Bishop Kelly. In five innings of work, Garcia allowed one run on three hits with 13 strikeouts and five walks.
Hailey Brennan, 11, Owyhee (Friday, April 3)
Brennan tossed a five inning no-hitter as the Storm shut out Capital 16-0. Brennan's only blemishes on the day were a pair of walks. Otherwise, the junior allowed no hits with 15 strikeouts.
Hailey Bock, 10, Owyhee (Saturday, April 4)
Bock pitched all six innings as Owyhee turned back Meridian 13-0. Bock allowed two hits while striking out 14 and walking none.
