Welcome to "Primetime Pitchers", where each week, we'll highlight the top pitching performances across baseball and softball diamonds around the state of Idaho.

We will select one pitching performance for each day of the week.  Think of it as the best pitching line for that particular day.

Without further ado, let's get to it!

BASEBALL

Jacob Best, 10, Priest River (Monday, April 13)

Best delivered a complete game shutout as Priest River blanked St. Maries 7-0.  The sophomore pitched seven innings, allowing just one hit while striking out 11 Lumberjacks.

Brittyn Garman, 9, Nampa (Tuesday, April 14)

Garman tossed a complete game shutout in the Bulldogs' 3-0 win over Vallivue.  The freshman pitched all seven innings, and allowed just three hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

Bryker Darrington, 9, Filer (Wednesday, April 15)

The freshman pitched all seven innings in Filer's 4-2 win over Buhl.  Both of the runs allowed were unearned, and Darrington finished with just five hits allowed, four strikeouts and two walks.

Kaden Cole, 12, Parma (Thursday, April 16)

Cole took a no-hitter into the seventh inning against Marsing, but the Huskies broke up the no-no with two outs on a bloop hit.  Still, Cole's performance over seven innings was impressive: one hit allowed, two unearned runs (thanks to three errors), two walks and seven strikeouts.  Most importantly, he got the win, as Parma held off Marsing 3-2.

Brennan Davis, 11, Boise (Friday, April 17)

Davis pitched a complete game shutout, limiting Centennial to just one hit with seven strikeouts and three walks.  Bonus points for pitching in a pressure-packed environment, as Boise won the game 1-0.

Pete Dice, 12, Nampa Christian (Saturday, April 18)

Dice delivered five innings of one-hit ball as the Trojans turned back Vision Charter 11-1.  The run surrendered was unearned, and Dice finished with 12 strikeouts and no walks.

SOFTBALL

Charlie Naylor, 12, Pocatello (Monday, April 13)

Naylor earned the win for Pocatello in a 12-2 triumph over Hillcrest.  The senior pitched six innings, allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits, struck out eight and walked none.

Joci Lee, 12, Kellogg (Tuesday, April 14)

Lee tossed a five-inning no-hitter as Kellogg defeated St. Maries 10-0.  Only five errors from the Kellogg defense prevented Lee from earning a perfect game, as she struck out 12 batters and walked none.

Breanna Comstock, 12, Wendell (Wednesday, April 15)

Comstock threw a seven inning no-hitter as Wendell shut out Mountain Home 5-0.  Comstock allowed a single walk, and otherwise was perfect.  The senior also racked up 15 strikeouts.

Paityn Ralstin, 10, Lewis County (Thursday, April 16)

On a lighter day schedule-wise, Ralstin gave up the fewest runs of any pitcher in Idaho, as Lewis County defeated Lapwai 24-3.  In five innings of work, the sophomore allowed three runs on just four hits, while striking out seven and walking five.

Joci Lee, 12, Kellogg (Friday, April 17)

Yes, Joci Lee made our list for the second time in the same week, as a defensive error was the only separator between a perfect game and a no-hitter.  Lee dazzled in Kellogg's 15-0 shutout of Priest River.  Across five innings, Lee faced 16 batters, allowed no hits for the second time in the week, didn't walk anyone, and struck out nine hitters.

Marlee Stevens, 10, Sandpoint (Saturday, April 18)

Stevens pitched a complete game in Sandpoint's 11-1 win over Moscow.  The sophomore allowed one unearned run on four hits with 12 strikeouts and three walks in five innings of work.
