1. Will Mavencamp, Hagerman
Mavencamp became our first repeat “star” of the 2026 season for his efforts against rival Oakley. He ran for 245 yards and two scores, threw a touchdown pass, and had six tackles (three sacks) on defense to help the Pirates come away with a 36-30 win to improve to 4-1 on the season.
2. Lennox Radford, Wallace
The Miners’ senior had quite the all-around game against Troy on Friday. He had 88 receiving yards, 91 on kickoff returns, 37 on punt returns, and 65 on an interception return - 281 all-purpose yards - and four total touchdowns to help Wallace remain unbeaten at 5-0.
3. Connor Parish, Castleford
Parish, a senior RB/DB, only carried the ball six times against Dietrich Friday evening, but turned those six carries into 229 yards and five touchdowns in the Wolves’ victory. He also intercepted a pass on defense as the team improved to 4-1 on the season.

Highlight Moment
Raft River had plenty of contributors in Friday’s win over Glenns Ferry, but the one that drew perhaps the largest reaction was when senior Kolten Mulanax crossed the goal line for his first varsity touchdown. In fact, this game was the first time Mulanax had carried the ball in his Trojan career. He regularly plays on special teams, so he gets playing time, but the fourth-quarter touchdown run lit up faces on the Raft River sideline.
Friday Night Lights
For kids in small Idaho towns, a highlight can be as simple as taking the field under the lights on a Friday night, with the whole community cheering them on. The Sho-Ban Chiefs played their first night game in Fort Hall in a decade on Friday, and head coach Adam Reed called the experience “special.” Meanwhile, in Riggins, the community came together to purchase and install new lights at its football field, an investment that will improve the game-night experience for all involved.
Feeling Grand
We mentioned it last week – Mackay’s Grayden Bruley and North Gem’s Clay Johnson both nearing 1,000 rushing yards before the calendar flipped to October. The two teams went head to head on Friday with Mackay winning a dandy, 40-34. Bruley carried the ball eight times for 201 yards and four scores in the win and, for the season, 1,024 yards and 15 scores for the Miners. On the other side, Johnson carried the ball 44 times for 296 yards and four scores, bringing his season totals to 1,298 yards and 19 touchdowns for the Cowboys. Both crested the thousand-yard plateau in just six games.
