Mullan HS To Drop Football In 2015
1AD2 Distict I school Mullan has decided to drop football for the 2015 season.
Mullan HS athletic director Stetson Spooner said that there was little choice in the matter.
"We will not have enough [players] to house a team this year," he said in an email to IdahoSports.com. "[It's] unfortunate, but for now our numbers are restricting us in filling a team."
Spooner did not indicate if Mullan would bring back the football program in the near future. He also said it was unclear at the moment if any students from the high school would be able to play for nearby schools Wallace or Kellogg.
Mullan finished the 2014 season with a 1-7 record.
