There are some great match-ups this week. See which ones I think are worthy of this week's Paul's Picks...

(Never has a team been more thankful for a bye week than CDA HAS to be this week.)
Capital (3-1) vs Rocky Mt (4-0) (Live web cast) - Some one in the 5ASIC needs to separate from the herd and join Eagle at the front of the pack. This is the week it will happen. Capital's only loss is to Eagle, so we won't count it. Both teams are basically undefeated.

Paul's Pick - Rocky Mt over Capital 35-28

Twin Falls(1-3) vs Jerome(2-3) (Live web cast) - To quote IdahoSports.com broadcaster Scott Burton, "The Battle of the Bridge is one of the most heated rivalries in Idaho.  For this game specifically, the conference lead is on the line.  Jerome is undefeated (1-0) and Twin starts its conference schedule tonight.  With the Great Basin West wide open this year, a lot of people are pointing to this game as the one game that could decide a playoff berth down the line.  It's Jerome vs Twin Falls--'nuff said."

Paul's Pick - Jerome over Twin Falls 17-12

3A
Fruitland(5-0) vs Payette(3-1) (Live web cast) - Quit snickering, I'm serious. Payette looks to be for real this year in the SRV. Friday night kicks off their conference schedule, and what better way to do that than beat #1 ranked Fruitland? The game is being web cast live by my good friend, Jeff Ward, at www.backroadsbroadcasting.com.

Paul's Pick - Fruitland over Payette 56-34

2A
New Plymouth(3-1) vs Nampa Christian(3-1) - The 2A WIC. 6 teams, 5 of them 3-1. One team 3-2. Two weeks ago McCall stood on top of the mountain after beating #1 ranked Grangeville. Last week New Plymouth romps all over McCall. Will someone please steop forward and take control of this league please?

Paul's Pick - New Plymouth over Nampa Christian 24-14

1AD1
Hagerman(4-0) vs Grace(5-0) - Man, would I like to be in Hagerman this Friday for this one. Hagerman the defending champs. Grace is 5-0 and atop the
IS.com Power Rankings. Hagerman has been #1 in the media polls every week this year, but a win by Grace would knock them out of that spot for sure and possibly put Grace in to replace them.

Paul's Pick - Grace over Hagerman 46-35

1AD2
Salmon River(3-1) vs Wilder(3-0) - Yes, Wilder is 1AD1, but Salmon River can use a win against a larger opponent to finally get the respect they deserve across the state. They have consistently been ranked below teams with worse records in the media polls. Wilder is looking very good in the 1A WIC this year though. Luckily for Salmon River, the game is being played in Wilder where the smoke has mostly cleared out.

Paul's Pick - Salmon River over Wilder
