5A playoffs.
My picks for 5A this week. Boise. Mountain View. Rigby. Rocky Mountain.

5A playoffs seeding
Why is 5A reluctant to do seeding for the football state tournament rather than the predetermined bracket like the other classifications have done? The #4 mas preps ranked Mt View had to travel to #11 ranked Post Falls for the opening round. Make it make sense.

5A playoffs picks.
Not sure what I was thinking on these playoff brackets. They have me all confused. So obviously those picks are null and void. So, for this week, I'm going with Highland. Owyhee is on the rise, but Highland tradition will prevail. Plus, Holt Arena advantage. Meridian. I think both teams are fairly good but I'm giving the edge to Meridian. Eagle. Rigby is still a powerhouse. Eagle is just a little bit more this year in my opinion and I think they may be the best team in 5A. Coeur D'ALene. I give the Vikings an edge over a Rocky Mountain team that hasn't been as impressive this year.

I'm not sure how to answer that, thAToneguy. Personally, I feel that MaxPreps has ruined everything about Idaho High School Football. 5A is its own dog.

Basically, that even though the playoffs have never been perfect, MaxPreps went and made them even more complicated. Why should a 5 seed play a 12 seed? It makes no sense. Some teams should just be left out of the playoff picture instead of having at large playoff berths.

5A title game.
I'm going with Highland. They're in the Holt Arena and they're due for a title. I'm cheering for them because they need this after what they've been through.
