Personal Bio:
I’ve attended Twin Falls High School for the past four years and just graduated at the young age of 18. The experiences I shared with my fellow classmates and teammates are something I’ll never forget and I’d like to thank the administration and rest of the student body for making my high school experience such a positive one.

Favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory is our State Championship in basketball last year. Being on the court in the Idaho Center and seeing the hard work of our entire team and coaching staff come to fruition has been one of the most incredible experiences of my young life.

What is something most people do not know about you? :
Most people don’t know that I absolutely love the game of golf. My freshman year I had to decide between baseball and golf and I ended up choosing baseball over golf. To this day though I still enjoy a round or two a week down at Blue Lakes Country Club as I’m happiest on the baseball field or the golf course.

Future plans?
Next year I’ll be playing baseball for the University of Oregon. Go Ducks!

When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?:
My idea of the perfect job is waking up every morning excited to go to work. I don’t quite know what that looks like for me yet, but at the moment it looks like it will in some way include the game of baseball.

What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?:
The best advice I’ve ever received was from my Dad. Growing up he constantly reminded me to just “be myself.” It’s such a simple yet powerful statement. In today’s day and age it’s so easy to fall into the trap of trying to be like everybody else or trying to be somebody you’re not. Occasionally we all get off track and follow the wrong path for a while but I truly believe that we are all happiest when we each let our individualism and true character shine rather than cover it up and try and copy someone else’s character.

What advice can you give the kids coming up on how to get the most out of their high school careers?:
To the kids coming up I would say to be kind to everyone you meet and make the most out of every opportunity. Be polite and courteous to everyone because you never know what kind of an impact you will have on someone’s future. Simply being kind and courteous has the ability to positively affect another’s life, and the majority of the time you’ll never know about it. Also, make the most out of every opportunity presented. When there’s a school function or you get invited somewhere, go and enjoy it! Don’t sit at home and watch movies or waste your time playing video games, go out and make the most of your high school career. There’s only so many opportunities like those.

Your thoughts on being selected as one of the inaugural IdahoSports.com Student-Athletes of the Year?:
I’m extremely honored and excited to be named one of the IdahoSports.com Student-Athletes of the Year. Once again thanks to the administration and student body at Twin Falls High School for giving me the best opportunity to succeed throughout high school and thanks to IdahoSports.com for the presentation of this award!

Nominated by Mike Federico, Athletic Director at Twin Falls HS:
"Braden is an outstanding representative of what it means to be a student-athlete. He is an accomplished student as seen by his 4.0 Cumulative GPA while taking the most difficult classes in our school while completing college classes at the same time.

He is an outstanding athlete who will continue his development while playing baseball at the University of Oregon in the fall. He has played multiple sports at TFHS and thrived in every situation he has faced.

I believe Braden is deserving of this recognition as he is one of the best leaders on and off the playing field that we have seen at Twin Falls HS. He has a mature identity and is a hard worker at everything he does. He treats his peers and others well at all times.

Braden is the “real deal” he represents his family, Twin Falls HS, our community and sports in general in a manner that make people proud to be associated with him."
