Personal Bio:
My name is Drake Kuykendall I am 17 years old and a junior at Orofino High School. I play football, basketball, and compete in track and field. I am also involved in band, Key Club, Youth Legislature, Student Council, and many other clubs and organizations.

Favorite high school memory?
The entirety of my high school experience is my favorite memory of high school. I got the chance to be apart of three sport teams, while still being active in all things student life.

What is something most people do not know about you? :
Most people don't know that I enjoy watching documentaries.

Future plans?
I will be attending the College of Idaho and majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. I will also be playing football while I am there.

When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?:
My idea of a perfect job is one I wake up for and can't wait to start my day.

What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?:
The best advice I have received is a quote, "I'd rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity." In life you have to take chances to reach greatness.

What advice can you give the kids coming up on how to get the most out of their high school careers?:
I would advise kids to get involved in everything they can and be at least acquaintances with everyone in your high school.

Your thoughts on being selected as one of the inaugural IdahoSports.com Student-Athletes of the Year?:
I am honored to have been selected as one of the IdahoSports.com Student- Athlete of the Year.

Nominated by Doug South, Athletic Director at Orofino HS:
I have found Drake to be a productive person on our campus and in the community. His presents make our school and community a better place. He takes responsibility for the tasks he is assigned to do. He treats other people with respect and dignity, plus he follows the rules of the school and the teams he participates on. These are personal traits that will make him a successful student at the college he attends. In addition to having firsthand knowledge of Drakes work ethic and abilities, I am also familiar with his education goals, and know just how much receiving this award will help him in that goal. I cannot think of a male on our campus that is more deserving and I wholeheartedly support this application.
