Personal Bio: I just graduated from Century High School with High Honors. I have lived in Pocatello for 9 years. I have two brothers and one sister. I played on the varsity team for basketball and soccer all 4 years of high school. Favorite high school memory, so far?: My favorite high school memory is winning the state basketball championship game this year as a senior. What is something most people do not know about you? : I really enjoying reading and writing. Future plans? I will be attending Colorado Christian University in Denver, Colorado, where I have been offered a basketball scholarship. When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?: My idea of the perfect job would be a job where I have the opportunity to change people's lives for the better and inspire them to be the best that they can be. What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?: "Faith. Family. Education. Focus on those three things and everything else will come." Kurtis Holt (Father and Coach) What advice can you give the kids coming up on how to get the most out of their high school careers?: My advice would be always be yourself and all the extra time and hard work you put in does pay off in the end. Also, enjoy every moment you have with your friends and family. Your thoughts on being selected as one of the inaugural IdahoSports.com Student-Athletes of the Year?: I am incredibly honored and blessed being selected as one of the Student Athletes of the Year! I couldn't have done it without my Heavenly Father and support from my teammates, coaches, and family throughout the years. Thank you! Nominated by Steve Anderson, Athletic Director at Century HS: "Sarah Holt is one of those special student athletes that seldom come along during the course of a career. She is not only an excellent athlete and student but also an outstanding person that carries herself with pride and dignity. I have personally observed her grow and mature into a leader during her time in high school. Sarah scored 1100 plus points during her high school career in basketball establishing a new all-time career standard for the Diamondbacks."
