Team Preview

Written by: Brandon McIntosh

Second year coach Staffani Anderson will be face with lack of size and will look to compensate with quick, scrappy guards. Returners Brookelyn Carpenter, Blair Anderson (daughter of the head coach), Rylee Chambers, and Callie Ackerman will be looking to compete in a tough Whitepine League.

In order to be in the State hunt at the end of the season, Potlatch will have to fight it’s way around the likes of teams such as the Troy Trojans and Genesee Bulldogs.

The Loggers will be well tested as they have been competing endlessly over the summer against bigger schools. Coach Anderson likes the way her team committed to the summer and really worked to play as a cohesive unit. That is the first step that the Loggers need if they plan to move up in the standings.

Blair Anderson and Callie Ackerman will be expected to carry the load on both end of the floor. On defense, getting after it and creating easy scoring opportunities. On offense, look for both to try and light it up from outside after passing inside to the posts and the defense sinks in to help.

There will be plenty of battle in the Whitepine League this season. Time will tell how the Anderson-led Loggers finish up.
