A look at all the games played at the Middleton High School on Friday

MARSH VALLEY 59, SHELLEY 44:  Four players scored in double figures and Marsh Valley paraded to the free throw line 40 times Friday night, slugging their way past Shelley in a 3A State semifinal game.

Kenzie Gunter and Taya Batts each scored 12 for the Eagles, who also got ten apiece from Katie Anderson and Anna Gray.

Kira Marlow scored 11 for Shelley, adding seven rebounds and three steals.

Marsh Valley's defense kept Shelley under wraps deep into the second half, eventually pushing its lead to as many as 17 points before settling for the 15-point victory.

Marsh Valley will face Timberlake in the 3A State Championship game Saturday at the Idaho Center.

TIMBERLAKE 75, TETON 64:  The two teams combined to put on a shooting clinic, combining to hit 54 of 87 shots (62 percent), but it was Timberlake's torrid second half that carried the Tigers into the 3A State Championship game on Saturday.

Timberlake shot 71 percent in the second half for a total of 47 points to keep Teton at bay.

The Tigers got 21 points off the bench from Allison Kirby and 19 from Keelie Lawler.  Jenna Abbott scored a game-high 30 for Teton, also contributing four rebounds and three steals.

Because of all the hot shooting, the two teams combined for just 31 rebounds with Teton's Gabrielle Berry leading the way with five.

The difference in the game was the third quarter, where Timberlake outscored Teton, 29-15, to seize control.

KIMBERLY 55, HOMEDALE 46:  The Bulldogs rebounded from their first loss of the season with a solid, nine-point win over Homedale to advance to the 3A Consolation final at the IHSAA Girls State Basketball Touranment.

Playing without injured starter Maysi Rongen, the Bulldogs got balanced scoring, led by 12 points from Ashley Watts, 11 points from Lexy Phillips and 10 from Emily Wadsworth as seven different players scored.

Kimberly trailed by one point after the first quarter but out-scored Homedale, 16-7, in the second quarter and never trailed again.  The lead grew to as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter before Homedale finished strong to close the gap.

Tristan Corta led Homedale with 15 points, but struggled from the field, going just 2/14.  She made up for it with a strong game at the free throw line where the senior connected on 11 of 12 tries.

The two teams combined for 61 turnovers in the game.

EMMETT 54, WEISER 24:  The Huskies held Weiser to just nine successful field goals in the game, using that defense to create 24 turnovers and pull away from their conference foe in the 3A Consolation bracket on Friday afternoon at Middleton High School.

Those 24 turnovers led to 21 Emmett points as Weiser couldn't muster more than six points in any one quarter.  Meanwhile, Emmett scored at least ten in each period to pull away as the game went on.

Lillie Smith had a huge game for Emmett, scoring a game-high 30 points, adding four assists and picking up six steals in the win.  Morgan Mitchell scored 11 for Emmett and Aly Kaiser had nine.  Weiser was led by the nine points of senior Paige Brown.  Emily Gluch had seven points and nine rebounds for the Wolverines.

Weiser actually out-rebounded Emmett, 33-25, but could not mount a serious challenge in the second half.

Emmett will take on Kimberly in the 3A Consolation Final Saturday morning in Middleton.
