Offensive strengths/areas for improvement: We bring back two starters from our offensive line of a year ago. We will need to cut down on turnovers to be successful. We will have some speed and stregth at WR. QB is an area where we have two strong returners.
Defensive strengths/areas for improvement: Like the offense, we lost Dawson Sigman and Matt Smith to anchor our lines and we will need to fill the void left by those two. We have lots of experience at linebacker. Chase Hathhorn is a 3-year starter at corner.
Special team Strengths: We should have good speed on our coverage teams. We have a great return guy in Chase Hathhorn. We need to get better distance on our kickoffs and punts; we gave up too much field postition last season.
Offensive Outlook: We changed our offense this year to fit our players. We need to protect the QB, and if we can do that we can be pretty good.
Defensive Outlook: We must tackle! That is the biggest challenge we had from a year ago.
Coach's Team Summary: We will be small with good speed. We will fight and compete every game, and we have some playmakers. As of now I don't know, but the way my players work nothing will surprise me. Great kids!!
