Key Players Lost:
JC Tucker, Player of the Year

Offensive strengths/areas for improvement:
RB Casey Hileman is a returning starter who has shown great improvement, and we expect to be able to run the ball with him a lot. We have a young, untested QB who will be looking to lead the team. We should have a fast, moblie offensive line with ends who have good hands. We only have a few returning starters and guys who had to watch from the sidelines last year. They all have a chip on their shoulder with something to prove to themselves and others that they still belong as a contender.

Defensive strengths/areas for improvement:
Overall team speed and knowledge of assignements. Again, we are young with a lot of unknowns.

Offensive Outlook:
We should be able to run the ball well and mix in a little play action for some deep passes.

Defensive Outlook:
We are still pretty fast but a little small. We will need to swarm to the ball to take down some of the bigger backs in the league.

Conference Outlook:
It is going to be Salmon River and Garden Valley battling for the number one seed. Salmon River has great players who have been there before and are wanting to avenge the two losses from last year. Greenleaf might surprise some people as they have a lot of talent across the board, and Meadows Valley has some great size that might be a tough matchup for smaller teams like us.

Coach's Team Outlook:
We are facing a lot of tough teams this year who will be looking for some revenge. Our team is comprised of smaller kids with huge hearts and looking to continue our success from last year. We have some soild returning starters including Casey Hileman who led our backs in rushing last year and was third in tackles on defense. Casey is going to have carry a lot of weight for the team, but has a solid offensive line led by Keving Updike and Charlie Johnson to open up the field for him. I am expecting big things from Dylan Bass, who was hurt late last season. Nathan Updike will be able to get the reps needed this year as QB. He was backup to JC Tucker who was Mr. Everything to us. I am looking forward to what Nathan can bring to the table.

Coach's Team Summary:
Casey Hileman got hit in the early second quarter while palying against Salmon River last year. The hit almost severed the tip of his right index finger. He taped it up and continued to play the rest of the game with out fumbling or droping a pass. In fact, he made some spectacular catches in that game and was the X factor when they were able to contain JC. He fought back from that injury and was able to play in our two playoff games. Garden Valley is never going to have the biggest players on the field; however, these kids do not know the word quit and give their all every play. As a coach you could not ask more from your team.
