It's coming down to the end of the football regular season and the Great Basin West Conference title is up for grabs. Tonight, either Twin Falls or Jerome will put themselves in the driver's seat as the two rivals collide in tonight's Magic Valley Game of the Week.
Rivalry games are always fun. Records don't matter. Players don't matter. Coaches don't matter. The only thing that matters is the name on the front of that jersey. Twin Falls, Jerome. Enough said.
Throughout the years these two teams have provided football fans with plenty to talk about. But recently, the Battle of the Bridge has taken on an added meaning--conference bragging rights.
And for those of you who think the game, the rivalry, the animosity begins at kickoff Friday night, you couldn't be more wrong. The days prior to the varsity kickoff, the Freshmen and JV teams play each other. And in recent years, those games have become as heated as any big time rivalry, setting the stage for Friday night.
