How did you first get interested in basketball?
My mom signed me up to play basketball when I was five years old and I have been playing ever since, participating in travel leagues and school. I like how you can be physical and the fast pace of basketball.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from high school sports?
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned from high school sports so far is that you won’t win every game and it’s important to learn how to bounce back and improve each game. Leave everything on the court with no regrets, give each practice and game full effort.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Never give up on something you really want. It’s difficult to wait, but more difficult to regret.

What coaches or teachers have made the biggest impact on your athletic career?
My eighth-grade basketball coach Leigh Patterson has made the biggest impact on me. He always required us to set high expectations for ourselves and made us believe that we could achieve them. He never allowed us to settle for anything less.

What has been your favorite high school memory so far?
My favorite high school memory so far is all the fun times I get to have with my teammates and coaches.

Is there anyone in your family who have helped you get to where you are today?
My dad has really helped me get to where I am today. He has coached me since I was a little girl and always has great advice for me after each game on how I can improve to be better as well as compliment me on the good things.

Which teammates have you really connected with during high school?
I have really connected with Kiera Patterson, she is my best friend and we both play post. We push each other in practice and communicate well during games.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
Something most people don't know about me is that I like to hunt rock chucks in the spring. When I was 11 years old, I won the Rock Chuck Derby, the rock chuck was 17 pounds.

What are you most looking forward to this season?
This season I was most looking forward to competing. I just like to be active and be competitive. With COVID the start of the season was in question so I was excited that we got to play. It’s great that we get to have some parent/fan support at the games now.
