Week Two of the Magic Valley Game of the Week
We're on the road to Minico high school Friday night to bring you one of the best 4A games of the night.Bishop Kelly vs Minico will be a great one to watch!

The Magic Valley Game of the week is off to a fast and exciting start!  Last week we were in Twin Falls as the Skyview Hawks came to town and nearly escaped with an early road win.  The Bruins scored the go ahead touchdown with 12 seconds remaining to cap off an exciting game and a perfect way to cristen the Magic Valley Game of the Week.
This Friday, we travel to Minico High School where the #1 ranked Bishop Kelly Knights open their season against the 1-0 Minico Spartans.

The reigning 4A SIC regular season champion Knights return six offensive starters who last year averaged 29 points per game.  However, Bishop Kelly will have a new signal caller in Jesse Rohr who will have to emerge as the team leader on an experienced BK offense.
Defensively, Bishop Kelly returns nine starters led by Cody McCarthy, Hunter Griffith, and Nate Lothrop.  The Knights toughness on defense should be the foundation of their 2010 team.

The Minico Spartans, on the other hand, will take a run first approach with their stellar offensive line and grind out the yards with Brady May who ran for 151 yards and two scores in the opener last week at Century.  But if you focus too much on the Minico running attack, Kade Miller and the ariel assault wil burn you.  Last week Miller threw for 225 yards and three scores and Moi Rice racked up 131 yards of total offense.

This game should be a dandy!  The #1 team in the state on the road to start their season against a solid contender in Minico.  The little things will make all the difference in this one.  In their win against Century, Minico was flagged for 13 penalties; something the Spartans cannot afford to do against BK.  However, Bishop Kelly will have 4 two way starters suspended for undisclosed reasons.

It's week 2 of the Magic Valley Game of the Week!  Watch all the action starting at 7pm Friday, September 3, right here on Idahosports.com!
