As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
Offensively we will run a variety of sets to our best scoring threats (Those players are still being determined). We must shoot the ball well from the perimeter and we must attack the rim when we have opportunities. Sharing the basketball, making the extra pass and taking great shots will be key.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We have to handle pressure and take care of the basketball. We must create 2nd and 3rd opportunities with hustle plays and rebounding. We must be able to score out of transition. Our lack of size is definitely a concern.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Defensively we will mix it up and try and keep teams off balance. We need to really defend the basketball, eliminate penetration and be fundamentally sound on every defensive possession. Our lack of size is definitely a concern.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We need to really make sure we rebound the basketball. This is probably our biggest concern with our lack of size. We must be fundamentally sound every time the ball goes up. We have to make sure that we keep opponents in front of us. We can’t allow penetration.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
The tenacious work ethic that the seniors bring to floor each day in practice and games.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Twin Falls + Burley are two of the best teams in the state. So regardless of outcome those are the teams and games to watch.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
We have to continuously improve as the season goes on. We have to be able to defend, rebound, take care of the ball and have great shot selection.

If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be?
I like the rules of high school basketball – Including the shot clock. What a great asset if you’re a team with less talent.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball?
I love coaching kids and I have always had a real passion for the game of basketball.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
