The Idaho High School Activities Association is pleased to announce the 2013 recipient of the “Spirit of Sport Award”. This year’s winner is Dexter Olmstead, a student-athlete from Timberlake High School.

After giving up a late, game-tying goal in regulation, the Bishop Kelly Knights defeated the Skyline Grizzlies, 5-4, in a shootout to win the 2013 Idaho Amateur Hockey Association High School Hockey state championship.

I did a little worse on the semi final games, but still came out with a winning percentage, 16-8, on my picks. Now, on to Super Saturday!

Cross Hairs explores the journey of small town Idaho newspaper reporter Cal Murphy as he begins to investigate the mysterious death of three star athletes on an 8-man football team.
